The St Vincent de Paul Society is a lay Catholic organization that aspires to live the gospel message by serving Christ in the poor with love, respect, justice, hope and joy, and by working to shape a more just and compassionate society.
Parish Conferences work to serve the poor within their local communities. Our Conference funding is obtained through 5th Sunday collections, fund raising events such as our bi-annual Shred Event and donations from parishioners, members and others.
Holy Spirit St. Vincent de Paul (HS SVdP) Conference includes men and women who join together, in the tradition of our founder and patron, Blessed Frederic Ozanam, to grow spiritually by offering services to those who are needy and suffering. One of the important aspects of our ministry is that we make home visits to establish in-person relationships with our clients and to assess their needs.
HS SVdP volunteers provide services by first taking phone calls from clients in need, then conducting home visits; and providing clients with basic needs including food, rental assistance, utility assistance, furniture, new beds and frames, all with love and compassion. A Parish report is provided to parishioners each quarter with details of services provided, including a financial report for that time period.
If you are interested in becoming involved with our Conference, please reach out by calling our SVdP phone at 916-397-7264 or email us at [email protected] HS SVdP meets monthly on the 4th Tuesday of the month at 6:30 PM, in McHugh Hall.

It is through our passion and belief in what SVdP stands for that our Conference receives such recognition. A big thanks to numerous volunteers and core leadership for such success.
