TPHS has been blessed to receive grants from several foundations, businesses and organizations during 2021. Grants such as these will allow us to continue to help people this year and into next year and the future. We want to publicly acknowledge the grants and thank each of the grantors. We include brief descriptions of each one and the amounts of their grants.

Sacramento Association of Realtors Charitable Foundation, Inc.-$5,000. The SAR Charitable Foundation has given us grants in each year since TPHS was founded. It describes itself in this way: “The Sacramento Association of REALTORS® Charitable Foundation gives focus and added strength to the Association’s tradition of giving back to the community….The Mission of the SAR Charitable Foundation is to coordinate the activities of Sacramento’s real estate professionals in addressing critical housing needs, assisting non–profit organizations to meet other basic needs, and supporting sustainable communities.”

The Sacramento Diocesan Council–$10,000. The Sacramento Diocesan Council is made up of an all-volunteer Board of Directors comprised of the officers, four Directors and the seven District Council Presidents who oversee the more than 50 conferences within the Council. The Diocesan Council helps people through a network of charity in the greater Sacramento region.

Consolidated Communications, California Foundation–$500. According to the Foundation’s website, “At Consolidated Communications, we live and work in the communities we serve and we are committed to being a community partner. The Consolidated Communications Foundation was founded in 1992 by employees and management in our California market and later expanded to our Kansas market.” Consolidated Communications is a leading broadband and business provider serving customers across a 23-state service area.

Sundt Foundation–$2,600. Founded as the charitable arm of Sundt Construction Inc., Sundt Foundation’s website says, “Since its founding in 1999, the Sundt Foundation has reflected our employee-owners’ passion for giving back to the places where we live and work. Each year, the foundation awards approximately $1 million in grants to a diverse array of charitable organizations in Arizona, Texas, California, North Carolina, and Utah, most of which focus on helping disadvantaged children.”

Walmart–$1,000. This is a Walmart local community grant. Walmart has a long history of commitment to giving back to the communities in which it operates and through its philanthropic investments, Walmart strives to “systematically address some of the biggest economic, environmental, and social challenges faced in the world today.”

Setzer Foundation–$1,500. This local foundation makes grants to many charitable organizations in the Sacramento area and throughout Northern California.

The Donant Foundation–$3,000. The Donant Foundation gave a grant even though TPHS’s goals are not within the foundation’s parameters and focus. In a letter to TPHS in which it explained why it was making an exception to its usual grant parameters and focus, the Donant Foundation said, “your housing solution efforts are addressing one of the most pressing problems in our society today.”

We are grateful to each of the foundations, businesses and organizations that have been so generous to TPHS and we congratulate them for their charitable spirit and community support.
